About Elisa

I'm not a doctor, a psychologist or a coach. I'm a mother in a household in New Zealand where ADHD and autism are part of ordinary life.

For years our days had the same shape: everyone knew what needed doing, and some days nobody could start. The advice we found was written for good days. So I started collecting what actually worked on the bad ones: small, slightly ridiculous tools that cost almost nothing to begin.

When a tool kept working, I went looking for why, in the published research. When it stopped working, it came out. The books are what survived.

I write short, practical books you can open on any page, and I cite the research so you don't have to take my word for anything.

Where to start

If you take one thing from this site, take the Bad-Day Protocol. It's one page, it's free, and it's what I'd hand you on the worst day.

My books offer strategies, not medical advice. If you're struggling, please talk to a doctor or a professional you trust.
